A day in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Our first port of call was Halifax. This port city faces the North Atlantic ocean and has pristine water views and relatively hilly terrain.
Halifax was the closest major port to the tragic Titanic sinking and all of the recovered bodies were brought here along with many pieces of wreckage. I didn’t go to the cemetery because I didn’t have enough time. Yeah, the downside of cruising, you’re only given a few hours to explore the shore. I also didn’t do much because I’m still not feeling 100% yet.
I walked around the Boardwalk, then to the Public Garden, and the historic site Citadel, finished off with indulging myself with Lobster roll and grilled cheese @daveslobster . I didn’t expect a lot to be honest but it exceeded my expectations. The lobster was bigger than I expected, fresh and filling. Before I left I told the guys to open a shop in Australia. That would be dangerous for my purse for sure 😀
Anyway, goodbye Halifax. Until we meet again.
